The 2025 22nd SFRR-I Biennial meeting hosted by SFRR-E will be held from June 3-6, 2025 in Galway, Ireland, at the University of Galway campus, positioned on the edge of Europe, poised on the Atlantic seaboard. Established in 1845, University of Galway has a distinguished reputation for research excellence.

 

Our vibrant, creative city provides a distinctive platform for stimulating scientific discussions. This meeting will showcase exciting new developments at the frontiers of redox biology and free radical research that cross the boundaries of the life sciences, medicine and industry. International experts and conference attendees will find an modern venue in a unique destination, with unparalleled hospitality and scenic beauty. In addition to peer reviewed symposia and competitive selective oral sessions, we are excited to share special sessions dedicated to young researchers and early bird activities.

Registration

EU citizens do not need require an entry VISA to Ireland. Registrants are strongly advised to check whether they require a VISA to travel to Ireland.

University of Galway has been designated as a National SDG Champion for 2023-24 by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications.
The designation recognises the leading role the University is playing in achieving the UN SDGs. 

Early bird registration at a reduced rate is possible up to March 31, 2025.

Pre-registration is recommended.

Seats for the conference dinner are limited and assigned on a first-come first-served basis.

Onsite registration will be possible at a higher rate.

Travel

Getting to a from Ireland has never been easier and more affordable. There are daily direct flights to Ireland from a wide range of cities in the UK, Europe and US, along with flights from the Emirates. Ireland is served by two major low-cost national airlines - Ryanair and Aer Lingus - as well as dozens of international carriers, and boasts international airports in Dublin, Knock, Shannon and Belfast.

Dunlin Village is a new student residence located on campus (view on map). It is a bright, modern, energy-efficient residence with 674 bedrooms across 125 spacious, self-catering, non-smoking/vaping apartments.

 

Apartments contain 4-6 individual bedrooms along with a spacious shared kitchen and living area. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, ample storage, and a study desk.

 

Dunlin Village offers 659 double rooms and 15 single rooms. Standard Plus rooms are ideal for students who would like extra storage space.

Voted best irish hotel 2021, the 4 star luxury Galway Bay Hotel located at the midpoint of the wild atlantic way in galway salthill. With beautiful views over the atlantic ocean the hotel is situated on the famous salthill promenade, only 5 minutes form Galway City Centre.

Cancellation fees

  15% cancellation fee will be charged in case of cancellation until February 23, 2025 

  90% cancellation fee will be charged in case of cancellation until June 1, 2025

100% cancellation fee will be charged in case of cancellation until June 4, 2025 or in case of no-show.

Amendment of event format

In case this event will need to be converted into a hybrid (physical/virtual) or a 100% virtual event because of governmental restrictions and limitations of international mobility, you will get informed. Registration fees will stay the same and any preceding (paid) registration will stay valid, but there will be no onsite registration.
